Celeste is a
22-year-old mezzo soprano who has completed a Bachelor of Music Studies at
the Sydney Conservatorium, and is now in her second year of the Advanced
Diploma of Opera with the same institution. Celeste’s dream is to pursue an
international concert and opera career. Celeste has performed roles within
the Conservatorium productions including Sally in A Hand of Bridge,
Deuxième Commère in Angélique and as a soloist in many concerts,
performing most recently with The Early Music Ensemble under the baton of
Neal Peres de Costa.
Celeste has
also recently been the alto soloist in the University of Sydney Music
Society’s Concert, performing Mozart’s Requiem and Handel Coronation
Anthems. This year, Celeste has been nominated for the Joan Carden Award,
been a place winner in the City of Sydney Eisteddfod, as well as Warringah
Eisteddfod Champion and Aria Winner. During her studies, Celeste has also
been a finalist in the Dame Joan Society Eisteddfod Gala, and received an
Order of Australia (Youth).
Celeste
continues to perform at various corporate and concert events, and hopes to
further her studies and career both here in Australia and overseas.
