Born in Tasmania, Sarah was in 2003 awarded an AMusA with Distinction in Singing.  She moved to Sydney in 2005 and completed a Master of Performance at Sydney Conservatorium, studying with Dr Rowena Cowley and Jane Edwards. In her first year she was awarded the Helen Myers Scholarship for high audition standard and nominated for the Joan Carden Award for outstanding singers. She won the Grand Prize in the City of Sydney Song Awards at the 2006 McDonald’s Performing Arts Challenge and recently won the Australian Song section at the 2007 Challenge. In January she completed the prestigious Ronald Dowd Memorial Summer School under the direction of noted English National Opera repetiteur Victor Morris.
 
During 2007 Sarah is performing Queen of the Night/ Papagena/Lady in OzOpera’s NSW School’s production of The Magic Flute. She has performed at major arts events including 10 Days on the Island and the Adelaide Festival, and performs regularly with ensembles such as Cantillation, Sydney Symphony, Musica Viva,  Auckland Philharmonia, IHOS Opera, and Itty Bitty Opera Company.  Sarah has recorded for ABC Classic FM on numerous occasions in both live broadcasts and studio recordings. In December 2007 she will appear in Vivaldi’s Juditha Triumphans for Pinchgut Opera.
